Minimalist, Echo Park

In this series I was heavily influenced by the principles of mid century modern design. I really honed in on simplistic and minimalistic shapes, with clean lines, muted colors, but an emphasis on texture, nuance, and quality. These works do not scream for attention, rather, quietly draws the viewer in and those with an eye for detail, will appreciate the intricacies of each handwoven work. For the first time, I am using a beige un-mercerized cotton. The warmth and richness of this tone really played into this mid century modern feel- it's a little moody yet full of warmth, texture, and nuance.
